Application
The IT system wall-mounted distribution cabinets supply electrical power to group 2 medical areas, e.g. operating theatres. In these areas the protective measure "Indication by insulation monitoring in the IT system" must be used for the socket-outlet circuits for electrical medical equipment, circuits for operating theatre luminaires and similar lighting supplied with nominal voltages exceeding AC 25 V or DC 60 V. In addition, a changeover module is required to change over automatically to a second independent supply of power, SV (safety power supply source)/AV (normal power supply source) or UPS/SV (safety power supply source), in case of failure of the primary cable.
