The company elektro systembau bender (esb) in Grünberg started as the division panel manufacturing in the group Dipl.-Ing. Walther Bender GmbH & Co. KG. In 1968 the first panels and complete distribution cabinets for IT systems  were manufactured and in 1990 the switchgear department was separated off into an independent company esb with a product range, which is substantially different from Bender. Especially the development of the annunciator and control panels has been advanced during the years. The first panel with text display was developped in 1994 and since 1998 esb has been offering a text panel with operation via MEDICS bus system. Since 2000 the company has been guided by the owner and general manager Christian Bender, who integrated in 2002 the printing division as a further branch into the company. In 2003 the first data visualisation systems for the indication of malfunctions and insulation states in plant were realised at esb and since 2008 the system integration of touch panels is also possible.
elektro systembau bender has grown continuously for the last years and has now more than 90 employees in Grünberg.
For this reason esb erected in 2010 a complete new building for manufacture and administration with a building area of more than 4,500 m2, which became inevitable due to the increased requirements of the company.
